Hi Guys!

I’m Jill and I’m a fun Newborn and Family Photographer in the quiet town of Davis, but I work all over the Rockford area. I’d love to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself, my process, and why I do what I do!

I have been married to my high school sweetheart and love of my life, Jason, for 15 years. Jason and I live in a countryside home, with our five beautifully crazy boys (Yep, I said that right FIVE BOYS!! Ages thirteen, ten, seven, four, and one year old.), our Bullboxer Beau, and a couple barn cats, which Beau thinks are his best friends.

I am living a life of controlled chaos with dirt bikes, fishing, bow shooting and lots mud and I am loving every minute of it.

My favorite things in the world are DIY projects and being on my boat. I love all things farmhouse, rustic, and industrial. When I am not eating, sleeping, and breathing photography I am vacuuming!! HAHA Seriously though, with five boys and a dog, vacuuming has taken on a life of its own! I love my makeup and messy buns, and leggings are life.

I spend a lot of time at home with my favorite people and nothing makes me happier than sitting by the fire, with my love, binge watching basically anything that contains doctors or detectives. I have never encountered any junk food that I didn’t like! Well except Sno Balls. Those things are just gross (sorry Sno Ball lovers). I do not do mornings without coffee, oh who am I kidding? I barely do them with it. I do not do summers with shoes, I love emojis when I type, and could not live without my family or my camera.

My love of photographing my kids is what got me into Newborn and Family Photography, though I have always had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember.

My photography style is classic, timeless, and laid back. Life moves so fast, sometimes a little to fast, and it is forever changing, as is your family. I just love capturing all those special and fleeting moments for all of my gorgeous families. Photography is so much more to me than just the perfect posed portrait. It is showing the beauty and personality of a child, or the family being captured, in their perfectly imperfect moments. It is letting that beauty shine through and the moment to be felt forever in just the glimpse of an image.

The best part of being a Newborn and Family Photographer is that I get to cuddle with cute babies and I looooove BABIES! I mean come on, I have five of my own!! Plus, I can work from home five days a week in those aforementioned leggings, creating beautiful art pieces for all my awesome families.
